This Caramel Crunch Hot Chocolate with Skor Bits and Caramel Drizzle is not an over-the-top recipe, it’s the perfect match between simple and special that makes it easy to make and even easier to enjoy!

Some hot chocolate recipes dazzle with how intricately the ingredients blend together to build into a robust and flavourful concoction. The more elaborate the better. Others like this one exist simply and quietly, the way you would want to while sipping one next to a kindled hearth in a cozy chair with your favourite music playing softly in the background. That isn’t to say that this caramel crunch hot chocolate is lacking in excitement, but it uses just enough to elevate it beyond basic hot chocolate and nudge it ever so slightly in the direction of greatness.
Two Kinds Of Sugar
The magic in this cup of caramel crunch hot chocolate is the winning combination of cocoa and caramel. There are two ways you can go about making this very delicious but very straightforward beverage. The thing that makes it one of my favourite hot chocolate recipes is adding brown sugar as a substitution for white sugar. The depth of flavour the brown sugar introduces to the mix opens up a whole new world and helps the flavours play together a little bit more. Using white sugar is good too, but it’s a little more predictable, which may be good or not as good in any given moment.

This Recipe Is A Skor!
The rest of the recipe is not surprising. The best way to get the crunch out of the caramel is with a crumbled up Skor bar. Skors are chocolate-covered bars of crunchy caramel and they make an excellent hot chocolate or ice cream topping when broken into bits. After you have made a deliciously creamy hot chocolate following this easy to use recipe, top the whipped cream with the Skor bits and a drizzle of your favourite caramel sauce. That’s all you need!

WHICH FOOD TO SERVE WITH THE HOT CHOCOLATE

- Desserts: Super Easy Skillet Fully Loaded Cookies, Golden Oreo Cupcake Recipe, Pumpkin Cookie Donut Recipe, Flower Dirt Sundae Cups Recipe, and Maple Bacon Cupcakes Recipe Cupcake would be such tasty desserts with this hot beverage.

How To Make The Caramel Crunch Hot Chocolate
In a heavy sauce pan, heat milk until warm. This should only take about 5 minutes. You just want it to warm up to the point that the milk will help melt the chocolate. Add in chocolate chips, cocoa powder, and sugar. Stir continuously until chocolate is melted and mixture is hot. You don’t want to boil the milk, just heat it. Pour hot chocolate into cups and garnish with whipping creme, Skor bits, and a drizzle of caramel sauce.
