What Is Strawberry Liqueur Made Of?

Strawberry liqueur is made with fresh strawberries, vodka, and simple syrup. Our recipe is more flavourful since we added cupcake and marshmallow syrups to resemble the tase of a strawberry shortcake.

Simple Syrup

The only required cooking step for the strawberry alcohol liqueur is making the simple syrup recipe. The rest is just dicing, pouring, and shaking. The syrup, a combination of sugar dissolved and cooked down and water, is actually something you can make more of and store in the refrigerator for several weeks. When you start to see mold, throw it out.

Tips To Make The Strawberry Liqueur

To make this strawberry infused vodka liqueur, wash the strawberries, and remove the stems and any white or soft spots. Dice up the fruit and distribute it evenly in each of the four jars. Next, add all of the syrups to each one as well.

Screw lids on tightly and shake until everything is mixed together completely. Store the jars in a dark place at room temperature. Shake each one every couple of days. This helps with the flavour infusion process.

After one month, the strawberry liqueur should be ready to use. Strain it through cheesecloth and pour back into the jars, sealing tightly. Refrigerate for up to 30 days.

How To Serve The Strawberry Liqueur

Your homemade strawberry liqueur can be used for lots of things. Pour it over strawberry shortcake or ice cream, use it as a “poke cake” ingredient, add it to fruity mixed drinks, or service on the rocks. The choice is up to you!
