I can hardly believe that Valentine’s Day is coming so soon. While not everyone celebrates the occasion, many of us still do, more so if we have small kids. These chocolate covered pretzels are the perfect salty and sweet treats everyone will enjoy on Valentine’s Day.
DIY Valentine’s Day Gift
Valentine’s Day doesn’t have to be expensive, so if you are crafty like me, then you know how much our friends and family appreciate DIY gifts. There are so many different things we can make for Valentine’s Day like these 10 Valentine’s Day Crafts for kids. Do you prefer to bake instead of doing crafts? Baked goods make the perfect treat for all those special people in our lives. When it comes to decorating these pretzel hearts, there are many different candies you can use like candy or cinnamon hearts, sprinkles, and more.
Package up your chocolate dipped pretzels in a clear cellophane bag and tie them up with pretty red, pink, or purple ribbons (you can find Valentine bags and ribbon at the dollar store). If you got creative and make something crafty, you can decorate a paper bag to put the gift in, or maybe pick up some gift bags and tissue paper to wrap them up in.
Pretzels dipped in chocolate
Dipping your pretzels in chocolate may sound easy, but it can be a bit messy if you over-dip them. Once you have melted your chocolate, you will want to use tongs, a fork, or your fingers to dip the pretzels in the chocolate. You don’t have to cover the entire pretzel in chocolate; however, you do want to make sure that one side is completely covered. Make sure to have your candy hearts and sprinkles ready to put on the top of your white chocolate dipped pretzels hearts before the chocolate dries. Once they have been chilled, you are ready to serve this Valentine’s Day snack or package them to deliver as a gift.
Should i store chocolate covered pretzels in the fridge?
No, do not store the chocolate covered pretzels in the refrigerator in order to avoid condensation. These Valentine’s Day treats will last up to 2 weeks if they are stored in an air tight container at room temperature. If your home is warm, just make sure to keep the container in a cool place.

This looks so pretty, delicious, and easy to make. Great gift idea.
The grandkids would enjoy making these for their class’s valentines party.
Fun activity to do with kids. Could also do this for Christmas or other holidays.
Fun to make but messy. We used melting chocolate so no coconut oil was necessary.
Perfect combo of sweet & salty.
We’ll be doing this again!
