Brownies are so moist and divinely delicious! Your family will definitely enjoy these Brownie Chocolate Chip Bars Filled with M&Ms. It’s a perfect treat for Valentine’s Day or Mother’s Day. You can change the M & M’s colour for a perfect St. Patrick, Easter, Halloween, or Christmas treats!

Brownie Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, room temp
  • 3 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 egg, room temp
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp cocoa
  • 5 tbsp flour
  • 5 tbsp unsalted butter, room temp
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 3 tbsp packed brown sugar
  • 1 egg, room temperature
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 1/4 cup flour
  • 3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup of pink, purple, or red M&M’s

 How To Make Brownie Chocolate Chip Bars

Brownie Directions

  1. Preheat to 350 degrees. Prep baking pan with baking spray.
  2. Using a double boiler, combine the butter and chocolate, stirring as they melt.
  3. Once the combination is smooth whisk in the sugar.
  4. Remove from the heat adding the egg and vanilla.
  5. Stir cocoa and salt, stirring just enough to combine all the ingredients.
  6. Add in the flour. Stir the flour into the remaining ingredients.
  7. Scoop the brownie batter into the pan. Evenly spreading throughout the pan. Set aside.
  1. With an electric mixer cream together butter and sugar.
  2. Stir in the egg and vanilla.
  3. In a second bowl whisk together the flour, salt, baking soda, and baking powder.
  4. Stir to combine all of the ingredients.
  5. Add in chocolate chips. Stir to mix. Add M&M’s. Fold to combine all ingredients.
  6. Using a large spoon drop the cookie dough on top of the brownie batter.
  7. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes.
  8. Allow to cool in the baking pan.
