Cookies with potato chips

I had never thought about crushing up salty snacks to put into cookies, but one day, while baking with my daughter, she smiled and said it would be funny if we put potato chips in the recipe… with a little mischief in her eye. We decided that it might be sort of hilarious when we shared them with the family as they would never expect to find that kind of chips in the mix.

Little did we know, there was nothing humorous about the situation; the results were far too decadent to laugh about: chocolate chipper cookies with potato chips!

Scoop out the dough with an ice cream scoop. Place the dough 4” apart on the cookie sheet.

Bake the potato chip cookies for 15 minutes or until the edges are lightly brown.

Recipe Note: I made these potato chip chocolate chip cookies with an intentionally larger scoop than normal, to create a big cookie. You can use a smaller cookie scoop if desired, but reduce the baking time to 11 minutes, or until the edges are lightly brown. This recipe makes 12 large cookies or 24 average size cookies.
