This is a classic game that your kids are bound to enjoy playing. When playing outside, it’s best to create some safety rules (e.g. stay in the backyard, keep away from traffic).
2. Simon Says
Little children will love to play Simon Says outside this summer! You can take turns playing “Simon”.
3. Marco Polo
Although this game can be played at any time, it’s a lot of fun if you have a pool. One person will close their eyes and the other person will say “Marco.” The person with their eyes open will say “Polo” to help them determine their location. This cycle will continue until “Marco” finds “Polo”.
4. Volleyball or badminton
The equipment for volleyball or badminton are generally very inexpensive. These games can make for a fun summer!
5. Frisbee
Frisbees are also very inexpensive game and can be a lot of fun for your child to play this summer.
6. Water balloons
On a hot day of summer, fill up some balloons with water and toss them around. Your kids will get a fun surprise when a water balloon breaks on them!
7. The Washer Toss game
It’s very challenging as each player or team takes turns tossing washers into a box that has a cylinder centre cup. Washers landing in the box get one point, washers landing in the cup are worth three points. The first player or team to reach 21 points wins the game.
