Valentine’s Day Whipped Sugar Scrub
Who doesn’t love Valentine’s Day? It’s a time for romance, love, and even pampering ourselves a bit. After all, we want to look our very best, don’t we? Of course, with Valentine’s Day falling in the middle of winter, that’s not always possible. The cold wind can leave our skin chapped, dry, and even flakey. That’s not exactly what you may have had in mind for your Valentine’s Day look. Well, why not make a batch of this whipped sugar scrub to keep your skin looking gorgeous?
This Valentine’s Day whipped sugar scrub is not only easy to make, but it’s also all natural. You only need three ingredients: coconut oil, sugar, and food colouring. The food colouring is also completely optional. Of course, if you wanted to take things one step further, you could also add a couple drops of your favourite essential oil. There are many essential oils that are great for the skin. Lavender is an excellent option as it is great for dry skin and also has a wonderful scent. Just make sure you’re using 100% pure essentials oils.
Use the sugar scrub anywhere you have dry skin. It’s even safe enough to use on your lips. And, who doesn’t want soft, silky lips on the most romantic day of the year? Just be careful about using sugar scrub that you’ve added essential oils to on your lips or any other sensitive areas.
This also makes a wonderful gift for your girlfriends. Place the scrub in small mason jars and add a cute label and ribbon to dress it up a bit. Your friends will love getting homemade beauty products to help them get ready for Valentine’s Day. You can make small batches, or you can double or even triple the recipe. If the scrub seems too thin, add more sugar.
