Boo Bamboo Skin Care and Hair Products for Mom and Baby – Review

I’ve been using the Boo Bamboo Skin Care and Hair Products for Mom and Baby for about a week now. I wanted to give them a good trial so I could give you a solid review. And let me tell you, I love them! Boo Bamboo is a Canadian company specializing in skin and hair products made with organic bamboo extract which has high silica content. Their products fall under HAIR, BABY, SKIN, and SUN, and I was able to test out shampoo and conditioners, face cream, and some baby products.

Boo Bamboo shampoo and conditioner

I tried the Boo Bamboo shampoo and conditioner for regular hair as well as the Boo Berry shampoo and conditioner for colour-treated hair. They both left my hair soft and smooth but I preferred the Boo Berry ones simply because of the smell. They have a light fruity scent while the regular shampoo and conditioner have a woody scent. It isn’t a bad smell but I’d rather not be walking around with it on my head. I passed those along to my partner.

Boo Bamboo hair strengthening serum

The hair strengthening serum is a clear oil you apply to freshly washed wet hair and was new to me. It’s job is to make your hair shine and it worked!

Boo Bamboo anti-age face lotion

The last part of my routine is putting cream on. I used the anti-age face lotion. It had a similar smell to the shampoo and conditioner but it was lighter. The cream was a bit thicker then I’m used to but made the skin on my hands and face very smooth, and it lasted all day. That’s impressive!

My kids, who have never been fond of baths, loved getting soaped up with all natural baby wash and shampoo and I loved smelling their little bodies after covering them in the baby lotion. They were squeeky clean, smooth, and smelled awesome. The baby wipes, which are useful for so many things, are incredibly soft and have a light scent. Perfect for little bums, hands, or faces.

I would have loved to try some of their natural sunscreens so I’ll have to order some! Boo Bamboo products are available online and are stocked in Rexall, Natural Food Pantry, and some Walmart locations across Ottawa. If you’d like to go more natural for your skin and hair products and love supporting Canadian companies, I’d recommend Boo Bamboo to you.

  1. I would love to try the Boo Berry shampoo and conditioner for colour-treated hair. I have tried their regular shampoo and would love to see how their one for colour-treated hair is.
