Playbomil Lucky’s Happy Home – Review

Friendship. This is one of the main themes behind the Dreamworks series “Spirit: Riding Free.” It is a series based on a girl named Lucky. She moves to the countryside in Miradero with her father, Jim, Aunt Cora, and horse, Spirit. They live in a beautiful ranch house where Lucky and Spirit have fun adventures with her new friends. Playmobil Canada has added this series to their line of amazing playsets. They asked our family if we would like to see if we could ride to fun with their Lucky’s Happy Home playset! Since my kids are fans of this Playmobil series, they could not wait to play with it!

Welcome home!

Once the set was put together, my kids could not wait to explore Lucky’s home. The front of the house allows children to play and have the figures enjoy the outdoors of the countryside. The characters can relax on the porch and enjoy a warm, sunny day. Figures can play in front yard of the house, or practice for a jumping competition with the wooden fence. The goose can also find treasures on the porch and in the yard in the sun.

Is it time to get out of the heat of the sun? Turn the ranch house around to take playtime inside! Lucky and Aunt Cora can relax in the upper rooms of their home. Figures can play or look out on the countryside that surrounds their home from one of the many windows.

On the main floor, Aunt Cora is always whipping up something amazing! There is a kitchen made up of a stove and sink, and a dining area to taste all of her delights.

Letting our spirits go

My daughter had a ball exploring all of the rooms of Lucky’s Happy Home. She had fun with Lucky in the rooms on the top floor, then brought her down the stairs to join Aunt Cora on the main floor.

My little guy was all about Lucky and Spirit. He loved having both of them leap over the fence time and time again.

The aspect that gets me with this Playmobil set is the detail that is put into the set. Objects such as the window frames, curtains, and the porch lights could have easily been painted on the house or printed as stickers. Instead, they are actual pieces that stick out, making this house come more to life.

Other special touches are the accessories. The dishware, the glasses, and the pie are simple things that add to the fun of this playhouse. Even the animals are so cute! I had fun placing the bird and the mouse in different spots around the house to increase the amusement my kids and I were having with this set.

Some things to consider…

I know I spoke about the amount of detail Playmobil put into this set, but there were a few things I wish would have been included into Lucky’s Happy Home. I wish there would have been a few pieces of furniture in the upper rooms for a bedroom soit would really feel like a complete home. The only other thing I would have liked to have added to this playset would have been a figure of Lucky’s Dad, Jim. It would have been great to have all of Lucky’s family at home.

Riding into fun

Overall, my kids and I really enjoyed playing with Playmobil Canada’s Lucky’s Happy Home playset! It was simple to put together, and so much fun to play with. The care that the designers put into this home was amazing. It helped to transport kids into Lucky’s world. This playset would be a fabulous gift idea whether you are a fan of this series or want a playset to adventure in! It is a favourite for our kids to let their imaginations ride free.
