When I was little, I use to beg my parents to take me to a local store that served the best peach milkshakes around. It became a tradition on every Sunday to visit and get a peach milkshake. The store and the sweet old lady that ran it is no longer around. However, not all hope is lost. In its place is a new store. This store still carries on the peach tradition, but in a new way. They offer the best Fresh Peach Ice Tea I have ever tasted. Peaches are delivered daily and the tea is made right in front of you! Talk about fresh!
I could drink this stuff all day long, and running up to the store every time I needed tea was starting to get costly, so I decided to make my own version. It is so delicious and it never lasts longer than a day. I thought it would be harder to make, but I was amazed at just how simple it was to make and how strong the flavor was. This is perfect to drink daily, make in bulk for a brunch or even baby showers or parties.
Peach Ice Tea Recipe
To make my Fresh Peach Ice Tea, you will need the following ingredients:
3 cup of water in pot
2 Family size Tea Bags
1/2 to 1 cup sugar (Depending on your level of desired sweetness)
7 cup of water in a pitcher
8 oz of Peach Nectar
It is so easy to make! Just follow these simple directions:
Bring the 3 cup of water to a boil
Add the 2 family size tea bags
Lower the 3 cup of water with 2 tea bags to a simmer for 20 minutes
Remove tea bags
While tea is still hot add the sugar
Stir to mix the sugar into the hot tea mixture (Start with 1/2 cup of sugar)
Grab the pitcher with the 7 cup of water, pour the tea, then mix the tea and sugar mixture
Blend mixture well
Pour in the Peach Nectar and stir.
Taste for desired sweetness and add more sugar if needed
Stir to ensure all ingredients are mixed well
Alternate with ice and peach slices
I hope you enjoyed my Fresh Peach Ice Tea as much as my family and I did. If you make it, make sure to share with us on Facebook or Twitter! Also, check out all of our other Recipes.
