Best productivity hacks

These are the top productivity hacks that will help you the most as a working mom.

1. Find the Meaning in the Mindless

One of the best ways to be more productive is to make everyday chores a choice. Find the meaning in the small things that you do, and soon enough, you’ll actually do them without cribbing about it. Doing this also makes you feel more in control and motivated in general, which in turn, makes you more productive and happy.

2. Exercise

Wait what? Yes, you read that right! Exercising daily can actually make a huge difference in your energy levels and can super boost your productivity. Instead of making exercise a task, think of it as a reward for yourself for doing so much. If you wake up feeling exhausted, exercising for a short while can make you feel more active and ready to take on the day.

3. Define Productivity

No-productivity doesn’t mean spending every single second that you’re awake in rushing around, doing things to make the ‘best use’ of your time. Productivity is more of spending more time doing things that actually matter, and are on your priority list, and if you haven’t made one already, now’s the time to do it.

4. Visualize Before you Start

Studies have shown that one of the best ways to achieve your goals and stay motivated throughout the process is to make it a point to visualize your day the night before, thus winning and accomplishing everything that you have on your to-do list. Spending just 10 minutes doing it right before you hit the bed or even the first thing in the morning, can make a huge difference.

Imagine yourself having a wonderful day at work, gliding through it without any issues and coming back home with a smile on your face, spending some time with your little one, getting him ready for bed- you get the drill.

5. Set Smart Goals

Set smart goals, preferably smaller ones, so that you are able to get done with them quicker, and feel better about yourself too.

Yep, cross off those goals that make you feel bad about yourself. Ditch the ones that you know will interfere with your happiness and get in the way of your important ones. Goal setting should ideally make you feel more happy and charged, and if looking at them makes you feel anything less than what you actually are, cross them off your list.
