Must-Try Keto Recipes

What happens when you cut carbohydrates from your body? Your body begins to use fat as fuel. In other words, you begin to lose weight. It sounds simple enough, right? You cut grains and sugar from your diet and are rewarded with a body that is now burning fat instead of carbs. The problem arises when you try to plan your meals. There’s only so much grilled chicken you can eat, right? If you’re on the Keto diet and find yourself struggling to come up with meal ideas, you’re in luck. Below you’ll find a number of delicious recipes that will keep you interested in the plan. Everything from creamy cheesecake to bacon wrapped pork chops will keep your plan interesting and delicious.

Remember, you may not be able to eat the foods you once did, but there are so many delicious foods out there. Shellfish, fish, low-carb vegetables, cheese, meat and poultry, berries, nuts and seeds, and much more. Let the recipes serve as inspiration to expand your recipe collection. Get creative and create new recipes.

If you’ve never tried, or even heard of, the ketogenic diet, you may want to consider it. When you limit the amount of carbs going into your body to 100 grams or less per day, your body is forced to use fat as fuel. This causes you to lose weight much faster. The problem is people focus too heavily on what they can’t have rather than all the delicious foods they can have. Ask yourself if bread and carb-heavy foods are more important than losing excess fat. Sure, we all love carbs, but our society consumes way more sugar than we should. Take the leap and ask your doctor if this diet is safe for you. Each person is different, but this diet has made a huge difference for many people.

  1. I’m a huge fan of the keto nutrition plan. Cutting out carbohydrates made a HUGE difference for me when I was overweight and the longer you go without eating simple sugars, the more unappealing they become so while it’s tough to start, it gets easier.

  2. I have heard of this but didn’t know much about it at all. I might have to try this as I do need to lose weight, shame I love my carbs so much.
