A big mac salad contains most of the components of that classic Big Mac burger that is loved world-wide: beef, cheddar cheese, pickled cucumbers, onions, Romano lettuce, sesame seeds, and a tangy sauce using mayonnaise.

Many of the ingredients for this meal are simple to prepare, so it does not take much time to make. You can quickly put it together on those busy nights your family has to rush to eat dinner before an evening class or practice.

My family enjoys dining outdoors, and with summer just around the corner, this lean and green big mac salad will be a cooler hit to eat and enjoy in place of grilling a burger on our barbecue.

  • ½ cup cheddar cheese

  • ½ onion powder
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 tbsp ketchup (no sugar added)

How to Make Keto Big Mac Salad

This Keto Big Mac Salad recipe can be whipped up in a snap! First you must prepare all the ingredients. Then add the olive oil in a frying pan and brown the minced meat, garlic, salt, and pepper together until they are cooked through.

Not a keto fan? You can make this recipe for Big Mac Salad by substituting regular mayonnaise and ketchup in place of keto mayo and sugar-free ketchup, or you can make your own Big Mac sauce! You will get the same zingy flavour without it being keto.

Hate peeling the skin off garlic cloves? This is the fastest way to peel garlic cloves! Use the heel of your hand on broad side of your knife and press down on the cloves of garlic on your cutting board. The pressure you are putting on this side of the knife will push the garlic out of its skin without you having to remove the peel.

How to chop onions without crying? Cut off the onion top (or stem) and place it on the flat end. Slice the onion into two equal halves and place them face-down on the cutting board. Remove the peel from the onion, then slice lengthwise from the cut end to as close to the root as possible. Turn the onion around and chop across its width from the cut end. Finally, cut off the root end to have nicely chopped onion pieces!

Ingredients
  

Meat mixture

  • 1 cup minced beef

  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper

Salad

Salad Dressing

  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tps onion powder

Topping
