How to Show Your Dad You Love Him on Father’s Day

How will you show your dad how much you love him this Father’s Day? Most likely you’ll get him a special gift from the heart that he will cherish but you don’t have to stop there. In fact, you can make this day extra special by doing something different that will show your dad just how special he really is.

Here are a few ways that you can show your dad you love him on Father’s Day:

  • Spend the day with him. Don’t just stop by for an hour to drop off his gift and then take off again. Dads miss their kids and want to spend some quality time with them, even when you’re all grown up.
  • Take him somewhere special. Does your dad enjoy sports? Get tickets for the two of you to go to a ball game or the car races. If he prefers fishing over sports, plan to spend the day at the lake to see who can catch the biggest fish. It doesn’t matter what you do as long as it’s something he enjoys.
  • Cook him his favourite meal or take him out to his favourite restaurant. It’s a great way to show that you pay attention and know what he likes.
  • Make him a part of your life. Discuss something important with him or ask his opinion about something you’re struggling with. There’s no better way to show love for your dad than by proving that you value his opinion.
  • Express your love and gratitude by telling him how much he means to you and by being there for your dad when he needs you. Take advantage of Father’s Day by letting him know that you will always be there for him no matter what comes up in the future.

Go that extra mile this Father’s Day and really show your dad how much you love him by doing more than simply dropping off a gift.
