A picnic can be so much fun! Make his favourite sandwiches and put together some snacks with cold beverages on the side. It’s simple fun for the whole family and there’s no pressure on dad to go anywhere or do anything!

3. Cook his favourite breakfast.

Another great idea for celebrating dads on Father’s Day, is to start the day off by cooking his favourite breakfast. Top it off by presenting him with a few homemade gifts created just for him.

4. If your dad enjoys working with his hands, plan to spend a few hours building something together.

It could be something as simple as a birdhouse or the beginning of an elaborate project in which you plan to spend a few hours each week working on.

For example, this is a great day to play his favourite sports as a family in the backyard or at a park. You can engage the family in a Nerf Gun battles or go hiking in nearby hills would be a great way to spend the day.

6. If your dad’s not the crafty type or for whatever reason going out for the day is not his thing, just spend some time at home with him.

Talk about the good times you’ve had or watch his favourite movie or the game on TV with him. The main thing is that you’re taking time out of your life to spend with him on this special day. The best way to express your love for your dad or anyone else for that matter is too spend quality time with that person.
