Collect and Imagine with Awesome Little Green Men!

Whether they are big or small, kids LOVE toys! My kids are huge fans of ones that they can collect and play with each other. It is also fun when each collectable toy has its own personality that they can imagine what it would be like to be them. Awesome Little Green Men by MGA Entertainment asked if my kids would like to enjoy playing with their figures and see if they helped to peak their imaginations.

Awesome Little Green Men are collectable battle figures that are trying to win the war. Blue and Green Army Members can be mixed together or set up to fight each other in The Battle Game. Each character has a specific position in the team they are a part of for each army. They also have unique personalities that describe who they are. There is a game that is to be played along with these figures, but I felt that my kids are not ready to play a structured game like this yet. I did feel that my kids would love to play with these toys and let their imaginations take over with them.

Before my kids were let loose on these figures, I had to play with them for a bit. I placed them around my backyard to help protect its perimeter. The blended in well to a lot of the greenery of our garden. Their little faces showed off their personalities and some of them will make you giggle because they are cute.

My kids had a great time opening and playing with these Awesome Little Green Men. One of the things they love about toys is opening up blind bags and boxes. They loved finding out which character they discovered and comparing them to the New Recruits Guide so they can learn more about them.

Another great feature about Awesome Little Green Men is that it is not only the men at battle. There were a few ladies involved at different positions within each team for each army.  I wish there were more women displayed, but it is fun to see that they were not left out. It would have also been amazing if, in Series 2 or 3, if more women were placed in different roles or in charge of the team they belong to.

We all liked that there were so many different areas of the armed forces represented with these toys. The kids were really excited to put them together in different groups to pretend to battle each other in the most strategic way possible. They are not too familiar with the armed forces, but they were able to appreciate what each character did for their team and for their army.

My daughter discovered a feature I did not think was possible until she really got playing with some of her figures. Her bomber jet was able to release its missiles. We thought this was an added touch to making playtime with these toys interesting.

Overall, both of my kids really enjoyed playing with the figures they received from Awesome Little Green Men. Each character has its own personality, women characters are featured as well as men so boys and girls can have fun, and there are various characters to collect and play with. When my kids are a bit older, they will enjoy playing the game with these figures. They have a lot of fun with each of them!

About the Author ()

My name is Lian Wright. Born in Toronto, I came to Ottawa as a student to study Political Science at Carleton University, and came away with an Honours Degree, and decided to stay. I'm a huge sports fan, have a love of reading, and like experiencing new things whenever I can. I am now a mother of three children (11, 1 and 7 months old) and am kept constantly on my toes. My blog, Pieces of Me, is my way of sharing what I have enjoyed and encountered in my life so far as a mother. So far, being a mom has had it's expected ups and downs, but that's what makes being a parent so fulfilling for me. I've loved and learned from what's happened so far, and I can't wait to see what's in store for me next. I hope you enjoy the journey with me!
