Here are five things you need for back to school to get the year started off on the right track:

1. Three or four new outfits and maybe a few new accessories. Kids love to show off their style and what better way to do it than with new clothing and accessories to match? They’ll be excited to show their old friends their new outfits. As a result, they will also be excited to go back to school.

2. A colourful but durable backpack. Every kid needs a new backpack regardless of what grade they’re in. It should be something fun that matches their personality and style. Having a great backpack makes going back to school a little more fun.

3. Equip older kids with the tools they need for success with a new PC or desktop computer. Middle and high school students often do a lot of research and write essays. Providing them with a new computer is a great way to ensure they have the tools needed to keep up in class.

4. A planner to help keep them organized. It can be difficult for kids of all ages to keep up with everything on their to-do-list. A planner will help keep them on track and ensure they make time to complete their homework in addition to all of their other before and after school activities.

5. A stylish but comfortable pair of shoes. It may seem like a simple thing but kids do a lot of walking. It can be very difficult to concentrate on learning when your feet hurt so a new pair of shoes can make a big difference for students.

The more you get involved with your child’s education, the more motivated he or she will be to work hard to accomplish their goals. Providing a few extra things such as the ones above will help keep them motivated and interested in going back to school, which will also make your life a little easier and less stressful. If you can afford it, you can donate back to school supplies to local charities or your school.

  1. It amazes me how some things are the same and others completely foreign when it comes to back to school now and back when I went to school. In elementary I was happy with some new clothes and a pencil case with pencils pencil crayons and that kind of stuff and the same with high school except I needed binders and high heels to go with the other stuff. Lol
