Mexican Candy Shot
The delightful combination of watermelon pucker, mango, and lime flavours bring together sweet and sour flavours in this Mexican Candy Shot.
Equipment
- 1 Bar shaker
- 1 Shot glass
Ingredients
- 1 oz Tequila your favourite or Silver Tequila
- 1/2 oz Watermelon Pucker OR Sour Puss Watermelon Schnapps, OR Warheads Watermelon
- 1 oz Mango nectar
- 1 tsp Fresh lime juice
- 1 dash Hot sauce I used Tabasco
- 1 tbsp Simple syrup for rim
- 1 tbsp Tajin Spice for rim
- 1 wedge Lime for garnish
Instructions
- Dip the shot glasses in simple syrup and then into the Tajin spice and set to the side.
- In a large bar shaker add the tequila, watermelon pucker, mango nectar, lime juice, and hot sauce in a shaker with ice. Shake well.
- Strain mix into a small glass or shot glass.
Notes
MEXICAN CANDY SHOT RECIPE VARIATIONS
- You can definitely used different flavoured schnapps such as strawberry schnapps or mango schnapps.
- If you are looking for an alcohol-free alternative to watermelon pucker for this Mexican Candy Shot recipe, apple juice, orange juice, strawberry juice, pineapple juice, or a non-alcoholic vanilla can be substituted in its place.
- You can double or triple the ingredients and pour over ice to make it into Mexican Candy Drink instead.
- To make a Mexican candy shot with rum, you can use rum to replace the tequila.
- To make a Mexican candy shot with vodka, you can use vodka instead of the tequila.
- You can substitute the watermelon pucker for Watermelon Schnapps, Sour Puss Watermelon, or Warheads Watermelon.
