HOMEMADE CARAMELS RECIPE
Candy making is a skill that takes a lot of practice, but some confections such as homemade caramels are surprisingly easy to make.

- 1 cup of butter
- 4.5 cups of white sugar
- 1.5 light corn syrup
- 3 cups of whipping cream
Melt sugar and corn syrup in a heavy saucepan. Bring to a boil and boil for 5-7 minutes.
Melt butter and mix with whipping cream.
Mix very slowly into the boiling mixture ¼ cup at a time. Stir continuously.
Bring back to a boil and boil until temperature reaches 240 F.
Pour caramels into a 9×12 pan that is lined with parchment paper.
Place in fridge overnight.
Cut into pieces and then wrap in wax paper.
