Equipment

  • Piping bag
  • Star pipping tip

Ingredients

  • 3 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 3 tbsp icing sugar
  • ¼ cup chocolate chips
  • ¼ cup crushed candy canes optional – for a holiday treat

Instructions

  • Melt the Chocolate Chips: Begin by melting the chocolate chips and setting them aside to cool.
  • Whip the Whipping Cream: In a blender or using a hand mixer, whip the heavy whipping cream until soft to mid-peaks form. About halfway through the process, around the 30-second mark, add the icing sugar.
  • Incorporate the Extras: Once the whipped cream has reached the desired consistency, gently fold in the melted chocolate and the crushed candy canes (if using).
  • Pipe the Dollops: Transfer the mixture to a piping bag fitted with a star piping tip. Pipe the dollops onto a parchment-lined baking tray, making them about 2 inches wide and 1.5 inches high. You can adjust the size and shape to your preference.
  • Freeze Overnight: Place the tray in the freezer and let the dollops freeze for 12-15 hours, or overnight.
