Cartoon-Coloured Glasses

I am a lifelong (award-winning!) cartoonist and mother of two delightful boys, aged 4 and 2. I like to view today's adventures in parenting as material for tomorrow's cartoon. Looking at family life through "cartoon-coloured glasses" helps me keep the all-important sense of humour required for raising kids... even for the events that don't seem so funny at the time.

Jérémie

My name is Jérémie Laviolette. I am happily married with 2 little princesses (3 and 4). My love for Disney started when I was a little kid watching all the classics. After planning numerous family trips as well as many trips for friends, family and co-workers, I decided to do it for a living. I am now a travel agent that Specializes in Selling Disney Vacations with Pure Magic Vacations, a Canadian Disney Earmarked travel agency that charges no service fees. I will help you with every aspect of your Disney vacation, including but not limited to: answering all your questions, picking a resort for your family, suggesting and making dining and FastPass+ reservations, and providing detailed daily itineraries.

Julie

I am a teacher and started my own tutoring company, Teachers to Go, in 2011. I LOVE my job and spend much of my 'free time' listening to blogs and reading books about education and entrepreneurship. I also love learning new things and challenging myself so I try new things from lawn bowling to trampoline dodgeball to caving (even though I'm claustrophobic)

Pieces of Me

My name is Lian Wright. Born in Toronto, I came to Ottawa as a student to study Political Science at Carleton University, and came away with an Honours Degree, and decided to stay. I'm a huge sports fan, have a love of reading, and like experiencing new things whenever I can. I am now a mother of three children (11, 1 and 7 months old) and am kept constantly on my toes. My blog, Pieces of Me, is my way of sharing what I have enjoyed and encountered in my life so far as a mother. So far, being a mom has had it's expected ups and downs, but that's what makes being a parent so fulfilling for me. I've loved and learned from what's happened so far, and I can't wait to see what's in store for me next. I hope you enjoy the journey with me!

I’m also an avid cyclist, hiker, yogi, reader, coffee-lover and all around busy-body. I blog about everything that is going on in and around town: festivals, special events, my favourite yoga studios and great restaurants because I think that the ‘Hottawa’ is a fun and fabulous place to live. Find me at @thehottawa.
