BEST WAY TO GRILL SHRIMP KABOBS
There are many ways to bbq shrimp skewers. Below are some tips I use to make grilling these under the sea treasures a delight to eat:
How to Prepare Wooden Skewers: It’s best if you soak the bamboo or wood skewers in water at least 30 minutes minimum, but soaking them overnight in water would be best. This way they will last longer on the grill without burning.
Marinate your food on the skewers: your shrimp and other elements on the skewers will have an added kick after letting them sit in a mix of your favourite liquid flavours and spices.
Create a pattern on the skewer: We eat with our eyes as well as our mouths. Putting your food in a certain order on your skewers will look as fabulous as it tastes.
Don’t go too crazy with your ingredients: It is great to have a variety of meat and vegetables on your kabob skewers, but it can become overkill if you load too many different foods.
Add fragrant oil to your skewers: Whether you are using wood, bamboo or metal skewers, you should make sure you add a fragrant oil to the kabobs. Lubricated skewers not only add a bit of scent to the food being grilled, but they also aid in protecting wood skewers from burning on the barbecue.
