Peppermint Mocha Bread

There is nothing better than having some quick breads for Christmas ready to serve. You will want to make this Chocolate Peppermint bread.

  • 9 x 5 x 3 inch loaf pan
  • Stand mixer
  • bowls


  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup baking cocoa
  • 1/4 cup instant coffee granules
  • 1 1/4 sour cream
  • 2 eggs room temperature, lightly beaten
  • 1/3 cup butter melted
  • 1 cup white chocolate peppermint baking chips or 1 tsp peppermint extract and 1 cup of white chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 4 tbsp hot fudge sauce
  • 1 candy cane
  • Non-cooking spray


  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Spray your 9 x 5 x 3 inch loaf pan with a non stick baking spray. Set aside.
  • In a medium bowl, add the flour, salt, baking soda, sugar, and cocoa. Whisk to combine. Set aside.
  • In the bowl of a stand mixer, add the sour cream, eggs, and butter. Mix on medium until combined. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients mix on medium until well combined.
  • Gently stir in the white chocolate peppermint baking chips and chocolate chips.
  • Pour batter into your prepared loaf pan.
  • Bake at 350 degrees F for 50-55 minutes.
  • Remove from the oven and cool in a loaf pan for 10 minutes.
  • Remove the homemade quick bread from the loaf pan and let cool completely on a wire rack.
  • Drizzle with fudge sauce and crushed candy canes.
