Some find the classic Margarita a bit too strong. For something with a little less kick, you might like to try the Iced Margarita recipe. An Iced Margarita is a refreshing drink that combines the elements of the Classic Margarita in a more diluted version.
- 2½ ounces of silver tequila
- 1 ¼ ounces of Cointreau triple sec
- Juice of 1 fresh lime
- 1 lime sliced in rings
- 6 small scoops of lime sorbet
- 150 ml cold lemonade
- crushed ice
If you want to salt the rim of your glass, run a juicy lime wedge around the rim, and dip the rim in coarse Kosher salt.
Combine the tequila, Cointreau, and fresh lime juice in a jug or a cocktail shaker. Shake or stir until it is combined and chilled.
Add a few slices of lime into the glass.
Split the sorbet between the two glasses and add some ice in each glass.
Split the drink into each glass.
Top up each glass with a helping of lemonade.
Garnish the rim of the glass with a slice of lime.
