Halloween Bloody Bone Cupcake
  • Cupcake Ingredients
  • 1 3/4 Cup Flour
  • 2 Cup Sugar
  • 1 Cup Cocoa
  • 1 1/2 TSP Baking Soda
  • 1 1/2 TSP Baking Powder
  • 1 TSP Salt
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 Cup Whole Milk
  • 1/2 Cup Oil
  • 1 Cup Boiling Water
  • 1 Tbsp melted butter
Bloody Vanilla frosting
  • 1 Cup unsalted sweet cream butter
  • 3 Cup powder sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 3-5 TBSP heavy whipping cream
  • 2-3 drops of red food colouring
  • 1 Cup corn syrup
  • 1 bag of gummy bones
Bloody Bone Cupcake Directions
  1. Combine 1 Cup of the graham cracker crumbs and melted butter and mix.
  2. Line the cupcake tins with paper liners. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  3. Scoope a tablespoon of the graham cracker crumbs into the cupcake liner. set aside
  4. Mix the flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
  5. In a separate bowl add the eggs, whole milk, and oil.
  6. Add the bowl containing the eggs, whole milk, oil, and vanilla to the bowl holding the dry ingredients.
  7. Mix all together until fully incorporated.
  8. Beat for 3 minutes on medium.
  9. Slowly add the boiling water starting with a small amount then pour in the remaining boiling water.
  10. The batter may be a little runny.
  11. Scoop batter into cupcake lined cups until 3/4s filled.
  12. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes.
  13. Remove from oven and allow to cool completely.
Frosting Directions
  1. Combine all ingredients except the corn syrup and food colouring
  2. Mix on medium speed until frosting doesn’t fall off a spoon.
  3. Place into a piping bag with a star tip and frost onto cooled cupcake.
  4. In a small bowl, combine the corn syrup and the red food dye, mix until combined.
  5. Take a fork and dip it into the corn syrup, drizzle over the cupcakes for a blood effect.
  6. Place gummy bone on top.
