Kids Bath Scrub

  • 2 Cups Epsom Salt
  • 1 Cup Coconut Oil
  • Red and Blue Food Colouring

  • Measure the Epsom salt into a large bowl.
  • Measure the coconut oil and place in a microwave safe bowl.
  • Heat in the microwave for 2 minutes.
  • Combine the Epsom salt and the melted coconut oil and stir until mixed.
  • Add an essential oil of your choice traditionally 5 or more drops.
  • Divide the Epsom salt and oil combination into 3 bowls.
  • Leave the scrub in first bowl white.
  • In the second bowl add several drops of red food colouring.*
  • Mix the red food colouring with the Epsom salt mixture until the colour is thoroughly blended.
  • In the third bowl add several drops of blue food coloring.*
  • Mix the blue food colouring with the Epsom salt mixture until the colour is thoroughly blended.
  • Choose a container or jar with a lid of your choice. A Mason jar would look outstanding.
  • Layer your prepared scrub with the red on the bottom, white in the middle and top it off with the blue.
  • Place near the bathtub to use when you bath. This removes the dead skin cells and brightens up your skin for the warm summer months.
  • Soak in a bath and enjoy!

* I checked out the food colouring by using it on myself and because of the coconut oil it rinses off during your shower leaving your skin soft and smooth.
Mix the Epsom Salt with the Coconut Oil and stir well. For this next step, make sure everyone is wearing gloves. Separate the salt mix into three different bowls. Place a few drops of red food colouring into one of the bowls, until you get the desired look. Stir Well. Repeat the process with the blue food colouring. Once you are happy with your colours, layer them into a jar.
