TIP – The Sweet Smell of Cloves

| June 11, 2013 | 2 Comments

Ever cook something that leaves the entire house smelling a little unpleasant? Although an open window is always an option, sometimes the outside temperature is just a bit too cold and I’m not a big fan of the artificial and somewhat overpowering smell of most air fresheners so if I’m ever looking to overtake a ‘fishy’ smell in my house, I place a few cloves in a pot of boiling water and let the delicious smell permeate the kitchen. If it’s the microwave that’s stinky, just place the cloves in a microwave safe bowl, add some water, and ‘cook’ for a few minutes. Voila!

I love the smell/taste of cloves and it really does the trick to get rid of the fishy smell after cooking fish

I’ve never heard of this but now I will be buying cloves tomorrow so I’m prepared in the future.
