Start a New Self-Care Routine with Garnier – Review and Giveaway ~ CAN 11/16

My eldest daughter has just started high school and is getting use to all of the new changes she has to her routine: New school, new classes, and new friends. Being a teenager, she has started looking into changing her personal care regime in the mornings, much to the joy of the other members of our household. We were asked to review some great products from Garnier to see if they would help to start her day off right and to help her become more time sensitive, too.

We received the following products to review:

• Garnier Fructis Volume Extend Dry Shampoo
• Garnier Fructis De-Constructed Texture Tease Dry Touch Finishing Spray
• Garnier Skin Renew BB Cream + Blur Miracle Skin Perfector
• Garnier Skin Naturals Fresh Make-Up Removing Cloths
• Garnier Ombrelle SPF 30 Ultra-Fluid Lotion for Face

My daughter takes FOREVER brushing and styling her hair in the morning. She is always battling with the brambles that appear after a good night’s sleep and she wants her hair to look just right. This was the perfect task for the Garnier Fructis De-Constructed Texture Tease Dry Touch Finishing Spray to take on! This finishing spray that adds volume and texture to hair without having to battle your hair to make it look fuller. She sprayed it in, went through it with her brush, and quickly saw her hair become thicker. Her hair also did not feel heavy with product, and her hair was easier to brush through.

Whether my daughter is outdoors during her gym classes, or decides to take long way home, she is beginning to care about the largest area of her body that is not protected from the sun: Her face. That is why she was happy to try Garnier Ombrelle SPF 30 Ultra-Fluid Lotion for Face. It is a light-weight lotion that will not clog her pores and goes on sheer, so it does not feel as though she is wearing any sun screen. It is also a great product to use under makeup, so you can look your best while protecting your skin from the harmful rays of the sun. She really liked using this product because she found that, once applied to her face, she did not feel it at all, and it did not have the scent of a sun screen, so she could reapply it without worrying about smelling like sun screen at school.

Though my daughter is not into wearing makeup just yet, she is curious as to what it can do for her looks. She has a few blemishes on her face and was wondering what Garnier Skin Renew BB Cream + Blur Miracle Skin Perfector could do to help diminish some of them. This cream is an emulsion that is light-weight, hydrates, evens skin tone and smooths lines in just one step to leave a matte, smooth finish that lasts throughout the day. It was really easy to apply. All she had to do was open the bottle, squeeze it on to her finger, and apply it to the area she wanted some extra coverage. It was a bit lighter than her skin tone, but it still helped to hide her blemish. She liked it, and will use it on days that she wants to wear a bit of makeup!

For those days that my sporty teen has a game, she likes to just slick her hair back while flying out the door. For days like these, she was happy to try Garnier Fructis Volume Extend Dry Shampoo. It is an invisible dry shampoo that helps to quickly revive and refresh hair. It also adds texture and creates volume for your hair so you can have thicker hair in a flash. My daughter’s hair is curly, so it has a bit of texture. Her hair is also thin, so we were interested in what this dry shampoo would do to her hair. We applied it, and her hair became very voluminous. There was no residue after using this product, and she was able to put it back into a ponytail so she could go about her day easily. She likes having this product for after her gym classes and practices.

Another product my daughter was excited about trying was Garnier Skin Naturals Fresh Make-Up Removing Cloths. She wants to start taking care of her face, and we thought that this product would help her to do this. These cleansing cloths are formulated for people with normal to dry skin. They have dimples along their surface to help remove dirt, impurities and makeup from face and eyes. She used it to remove the skin perfector she previously applied to her face. She liked how easy it was to remove makeup. She then used another one to clean the rest of her face.  She now carries them with her to use after a long day of school, a hard practice or a good game of basketball.

My daughter is happy with all of the products we received from Garnier. They are helping to make her life easier so she can get up and go in less time, leaving our bathroom freer for the rest of us to use. She can also use some of these products to clean up faster and feel better after a practice or a game. If you have a teen and they are looking for new products to add to their self-care routine, consider having them try one or all of these fabulous ones from Garnier!
