Show You Care With A Mother’s Touch #Review, #Giveaway and Coupon Offer~ CAN 12/31

A Mother’s Touch is a locally owned, home-based business that specializes in cloth diapering and environmentally friendly laundry supplies. Their specialty was reflected in the products I reviewed.  The products included a wet bag, changing blanket, cloth baby wipes and wipes spray, and environmentally friendly laundry products.

The wet bag has an adorable penguin print and a sturdy zipper.  I love wet bags even though I don’t use cloth diapers. They are an excellent way for me to organize my diaper bag! I also use them to bring home dirty and wet baby clothes after diaper failures away from home.

I gave the old college try to the cloth baby wipes with the spray solution. The solution itself was composed of a combination of several essential oils that lend it a pleasing scent and provide it with natural antibacterial properties.

I used the cloth wipes as I use our normal disposable wipes – wiping up a messy face after a bowl of cereal and cleaning up the baby during a diaper change.  I wasn’t a big fan of how much of the spray solution needed to be used in order to dampen the wipes. The baby wipes also make excellent wash cloths.

I have to admit I couldn’t bring myself to use them when changing dirty diapers. Wet ones yes, but not dirty ones. Nothing to do with the product, I just can’t handle dealing with the laundry that comes with that. This is, by the way, the main reason I don’t use cloth diapers.

The cloth change pad is a great product that I wish I had found when my daughter was born. It is larger than most portable change pads. It actually covers almost all of a plastic change station. It is also soft and comes in a variety of colours. I think this is my favourite product out of all of the ones I tested from A Mother’s Touch.

A Mother’s Touch also provides a cloth diaper trial service for $25 that provides parents and caregivers to try out a variety of cloth diapers before making the decision of which to purchase. The owner is also available to discuss the variety of options that exist in today’s cloth diapers.

The final product I tested was the BerryPlus laundry soap. This liquid laundry soap is made out of soapberries that grow on trees. You use only 2-3 ml per load of laundry so a little definitely goes a long way. The clothes came out smelling clean. You know, that natural clean smell. They were also clean, so what else can you ask for in laundry soap? Oh yeah, this one is also environmentally friendly! It is also a space saver. No more heavy plastic bottles of laundry soap.

All the products I tried were competitively priced, of high quality and from brands that I was familiar with.

Disclosure: The products were given to me free-of-charge by A Mother’s Touch in order for me to write this review.
