Review: 4 Wishes Charity Event

| June 5, 2014 | 2 Comments

4 wishes is a charity event put on by ‘make a wish’ foundation of eastern Ontario and Tyson’s mission to a million. The premise of the event is to allow children and their families to experience the emotions, excitement and joy that comes from receiving a ‘wish’. The event allowed for the kids to experience many different aspects of ‘a wish’. I wish I could be, I wish I could meet, I wish I could go, and I wish I could have.

The children were immersed in a world of wishes. The event was held and super fun and exciting ‘Fun Haven’ in Ottawa. It was an incredible choice for the venue as the space alone is a place of children dreams.

As soon as we walked in the energy was palpable. Fun energy surrounded us as we scooped out our surroundings. It was my first time and fin haven and was in for a ride. The kids loved it the minute they walked in. They immediately ran to the indoor jungle gym.

After we had our fill of running and sliding, we made our way upstairs to check out the “I wish I could meet….” And “I wish I could be…” events.

As soon as we walked up we saw princesses. Jasmine, Cinderella, Belle, and Snow White. They girls jaws dropped and they were speechless. It was so cute. The Princesses were so attentive and kind. They did crafts with the kids, had tea parties and simply made the kids feel incredible special.

We even got the chance the newest Disney princess, Queen Elsa from Frozen. That was quite a sight. All the children were star struck.

There were many other characters to meet (superheros, sports mascots and star wars characters) It was incredible.

The event was “I wish I could be..”. the kids got to talk to doctors, local athletes, policemen, and many other local heroes. It was well put on and the kids thoroughly enjoyed it.

We headed back downstairs to check out the final two events. “I wish I could have…” and “I wish I could go…”. We were transported to a beach party.  There was a DJ, live music, dancing a craft table, and concession stands with all kinds of goodies for the kids.  It was a blast.

The event was well organized. It was executed well with little to no confusion, and was  filled with fun and excitement. We spent the whole 6 hours playing at fun haven and checking out the special events. It was a magically fun day for all of us. An event worth checking out!
