Restore Balance this New Year with DK Canada
The New Year is all but here. The start of a new year signals a fresh start in our lives in one way or another. I usually feel a little off balance at this time of the year and love looking for ways to gain some balance in my life. DK Canada has books that span on an array of topics and asked if some of their titles would be able to help restore balance in different areas of my world. I was excited to learn about the advice they would share to get my year off to a fabulous start.
These are the three titles I received to helped restore balance to my life in 2018:
I admit it: I am guilty of having a brown thumb. I have tried to grow or keep certain plants alive in my home, only for them to go down for the count after I have cared for them for a few weeks. How Not to Kill Your Houseplant helps to teach readers how to care for plants in your home with simple tips and tricks.
This book taught me that the simplest things could factor in the health or death of my plant. I really loved how information such as how a plant should be potted, the humidity in a room and where your plant resides is also paired with fun and informative images. I was not aware that you could create humidity for your plant to thrive with water, a dish and some pebbles and gravel.
My other half and I are looking to make more of our family’s meals healthier in 2018. We are also looking for ways to make these healthier meals ones that they will enjoy. Healthy Meal Prep aims to help readers prep meals and save time on dishes throughout the day.
It is one thing to try and come up with a meal plan, but to have it mapped out for you makes getting started in meal planning. This book maps out twelves different types of meal plans to serve. I love that there are directions as to how to tackle your meal prep for the week and where to find the ingredients you will need.
I have early days and late nights. With three kids, hectic schedules, and an active cat who loves to get into everything, stress easily builds up in my life. Once way I have found to relieve my stress is by doing yoga. Yin Yoga wants to help readers to regain balance in the lives through various meditative poses and sequences.
I felt that it was great that this title shares with readers how to set themselves up to have a great yoga experience every time. This book also advices readers how to perform each pose, modifications to each pose, and also offers different sequences for amazing routines to relieve stress.
These three books from DK Canada are all fabulous ways to help restore balance in your life. Whether you are bringing life, enjoying great food, or are taking time to recharge, these titles are great for providing the help you need to start 2018 off in the right direction. The information and images these books share help readers in different areas to start to make their lives easier. Each of these titles would also be great to give to someone special to make their New Year fun!
