I am a lifelong (award-winning!) cartoonist and mother of two delightful boys, aged 7 and 5. I like to view today's adventures in parenting as material for tomorrow's cartoon. Looking at family life through "cartoon-coloured glasses" helps me keep the all-important sense of humour required for raising kids... even for the events that don't seem so funny at the time.

    love the cartoon. I remember visiting one of my daughters in Germany last year where she was constantly whipping out the sanitizer from her pocket and making me use it :-). It seems the handrails on the stairs that we often used attracted a lot of germs due to the area where they were situated.

    My granddaugter got a terrible habit of touching everything when we go out,and the other day while shopping i found her with her mouth on the hand bar of the cart and you just know that its loaded with the grossest germs ever,she is 3 but we had a serious talk about germs when we got home and i think she may understand right now………. but we ll see next trip……
