Kidsfest 2015 – Memorable Fun that Just Keeps Getting Better!
This was my family’s third year at Kidsfest and it was a great one! From the moment we entered KidsFest at the EY Centre my daughter and the friends we went with ran from one booth to next. From Lego, to balloons, interactive toys, animals, and bouncy castles, Kidsfest 2015 brought a lot of big smiles to a lot of small faces.
When I asked my daughter what her favourite part of KidsFest 2015 was, she enthusiastically answered getting her hair done at the Pretty Handsome booth. After which we ventured over to the rock wall and bouncy castles, bought cotton candy made at the Mad Science station, waved to Peppa Pig who was doing a meet and greet and almost ran head first into Spiderman who was circulating through the event.
We then danced along with Splash ‘n Boots who were performing on the main stage and then had some downtime building airplanes using pieces from a mountain of Lego at Camp Can-Aqua‘s booth and pet some small animals from the nearby Pawsitively Pets booth. The kids also made a caterpillar at the Museum of History booth and a turtle at the Elmwood School’s booth. Oh, and there were princesses, superheroes and Storm Troopers. Needless to say there was definitely not a shortage of things for the kids to see and do.
The great part was that while the kids were busy I got to speak with various exhibitors about their toy rental program, or their summer camps, their books and other items and areas of interest. I also learned that I can stack and unstack cups (known as Stacking or Sport Stacking) in less than 11 seconds – the people at the Kids Fitness League booth were very impressed. I left feeling great because I got a lot of valuable information about summer programs for my daughter and she left exhausted from all of the playing and crafting she did.
Well done, Kidsfest! We had a lot of fun look forward to next year!
Disclosure: I received complimentary passes to Kidsfest 2015, however the opinions expressed are my own (and my daughter’s).
