| September 10, 2019 | 125 Comments

Imaginative worlds. Books, comics and films have made realms of wonder and excitement easier for fans to enjoy. My family has its favourite series we follow and want to learn more about. DK Canada knows all about the fun of imaginative worlds. They have a collection of books that gives a more in depth look into these realms. They asked my family if some of their books could help us jump into imaginative worlds. We were excited to see what we would learn from between their pages.

Building magical fun

Saying that my kids love playing with LEGO would be an understatement. One of their favourite LEGO themes they play with is Harry Potter. They love this series and can’t get enough of the magic of this world. LEGO Harry Potter The Magical Guide to the Wizarding World  is a book we had to have in our collection!

This guide conjures details of the LEGO Harry Potter sets and minifigures fans are able to collect and build. Scenes and locations from various parts of this series are displayed to bring these characters to life.

My kids were so excited about reading this book. Each page reinforces what they have learned from the books and the films in this series. The “A Dressing Down” section is a great example of how this title puts readers into this series. Fans can also see LEGO sets they can have to add to their collection.

A marvel of imaginative worlds

The Marvel Universe (MU) is another realm my family loves to learn about. We are fans of many of the superheroes and their stories. The Marvel Encyclopedia New Edition is a great read to have on hand when questions about certain characters are asked.

This title shares essential facts about 1200 Marvel Comics’ heroes and villains. Details on key events such as Civil War 2 and Infinity Countdown. Iconic teams like the Avengers and the X-Men can also be found within the pages of this book.

Spider-Man is my all-time favourite MU character. I love how he had a section devoted to the evolution of this web-crawling figure. This part of the book shared with fans tidbits about Peter Parker’s origins, his essential storylines, spin-offs of this hero’s story, and more. Images from different versions of this character made seeing his evolution so fascinating.

A thrilling guide to imagination

The DC Comics Universe plays a fun role in our imaginative downtime. My kids became interested in superheroes because of this world of superhumans. The DC Comics Encyclopedia All-New Edition has been a new look and updated details. It includes 52 New and Rebirth storylines for different characters in this world.

Th darkness that surrounds Batman has made him a well-loved character to be a fan of in our home. This book puts fans of the Dark Knight into his world. Readers discover Bruce Wayne’s journey to becoming Batman. Fans also get snippets of this character’s classis stories in his comics, his rebirth, alternative storylines, villains, and more. Reading about how Batman has evolved over time is always fun to read.
