Johnson Family Christmas

So after a rough few weeks, Christmas has finally come to the Johnson house. I thought what would be a good way to bring in the holiday cheer?… With a trip go see Santa Claus! Last year Marshall was too small to really even understand who Santa even was, but this year was going to be a different story.

I have heard hundreds of horror stories and can imagine the photos of little kids, loosing it when they see their beloved Santa. I didn’t really know how Marshall was going to react, but I had an idea that he would be ok. Marshall is such a happy boy and honestly is really not shy what so ever. I don’t know whether to be happy or worried about that. We got him dressed up in a little outfit, he wore a green jumper and pants and his shirt said Santa’s little helper, he looked like a little elf. We got to Santa’s little village there in Billings Bridge Mall, and got ready for what ever was going to happen.

To our surprise, Marshall got right in line, and ran right in. He was more concerned with looking and pointing at all the decorations then he was with Santa. Santa then said hello and picked Marshall right up. Marshall just went a little quiet and just stared at Santa. After a small stare off Santa gave Marshall his jingle bells and we got a cute little photo. I think it was safe to say it was a very successful trip!

Well things are looking up, and I hope you all enjoy your holiday season!
Christmas was wonderful in our house, and I hope it was in yours to!
Until Next time!

About the Author ()

A number of years ago I went blind, and as a result found out I had Multiple Sclerosis. After my diagnosis, I attended a new high school for the visually impaired. That is where I met the love of my life, my husband Dylan. Dylan helped me get through becoming blind and find joy in life again. Shortly after graduating, we moved to Ottawa together and in December of 2011, we were married. A year later we welcomed our beautiful son Marshall to the world. In 2015, after two miscarriages we welcomed our beautiful rainbow baby Charlotte into the world. It hasn't been easy adjusting to being blind and living with M.S on a daily basis , and being a mom of two on top of everything. Life has been... lets say challenging! But oh so worth it!

what a cute photo with Santa. I know my daughter takes her children to see Santa every year. The first year my grandson was old enough to understand a little bit of what was going on, he screamed the place down whilst on Santa’s knee. The photo that was taken needs no comment. Last year my granddaughter had reached the same age roughly and the photo is exactly the same, she’s screaming her heart out. I feel quite sorry for the Santas it’s hard earnt money when children burst into tears on your lap!
