FREE Summer Family FUN! ~ Movies on the Beach

friday-night-flicks-618How awesome is it to find an event that will help create fun family bonding and lasting memories? Even Better? It’s FREE!

One of my favourite summer family events is back with a new name. Movies On The Beach is now Friday Night Flicks!

Round up family, friends, neighbours and co-workers. Arrive early, stake out your section of sand or grass. Bring a picnic. You can also buy dinner at the Westboro Beach Cafe which is owned and operated by Moe’s World Famous Newport Restaurant. While your waiting for the movie, play some Frisbee, toss a ball, fly a kite, build a sand castle or just relax.

Huge thanks to MAJIC 100, Reliance Holmes Heating, DQ and the city of Ottawa for helping to bring communities together and for giving us a break on the pocket book.

That sounds like a fantastic idea. we live on the beach in Hamilton, it would be a great street event

I hope this year might be the year we try this event. The late night has always thrown us off, but I think we can swing it this summer. I know the kids would be thrilled to see a movie (and an outdoor one will make them flip!)

  5. Maria says:

    Sounds like so much fun!

That sounds like a blast! I love watching movies outdoors on a big screen in the summer.

If I wasn’t allergic to mosquitos I would be there in a heartbeat
