Explore your Adventurous Side this May Long Weekend

| May 13, 2015 | 10 Comments

For most Canadians, the May Long Weekend is one of the long weekends we enjoy the most. It is not just another day off of work. For many, it is the unofficial start of the good times with friends and family in gorgeous weather instead of being trapped indoors from winter. This May Long Weekend, why not take a chance and discover what Canada has to offer? Here are some suggestions that can inspire you to explore some of Canada’s most loved destinations to help create some treasured memories.

You could:
• Hike the Cabot Trail on Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia. From hiking to kayaking to whale watching, the Cabot Trail provides the recipe for a perfect May Long Weekend.

• Give white water rafting a go at the River Run Rafting and Wilderness Resort in the Ottawa Valley—this family style raft trip is fun for adults as well as children of all ages.

• Venture over to The Forks—Winnipeg’s meeting place where the Red and Assiniboine Rivers meet. Whether it’s beautiful scenery, dining, shopping or entertainment, it’s a great place to check out with the family over the long weekend.

• Check out the Wildlife Discovery Tour in Jasper, Alberta—the best place in the Canadian Rockies to see wildlife. Follow along knowledgeable guides in search of moose, elk, bear, mountain sheep, wolves, and even loons, eagles and osprey.

• Watch whales instead of Netflix—The Vancouver Whale Watch, now in its 15th year, provides a once in a lifetime opportunity to see the majestic creatures in action.

After you have returned from your journeys, you may notice that all of the fun and excitement you experienced may have resulted in obtaining sore muscles, bumps and bruises. Using Rub A535™ is a great way to relieve these ailments. Try the Maximum Strength Heating Cream to get pain relief-fast. Are you also not looking forward to tackling that mountain of laundry after taking the kids for a hike for days? Let OxiClean™ do all the work. OxiClean™ Laundry Detergent fights even the toughest, dried on stains like grass and dirt, plus it will leave your whites and colours vivid and bright.

No adventures this May Long for us. We’re all off to Calgary to my daughter’s to meet up with another daughter and her young kids who’re over from Australia – with 6 kids in the house and 7 adults it will be riotous and lots of fun 🙂

    • Pieces of Me says:

Wow, Elizabeth! That is an adventure all on its own! Calgary has so many beautiful sites to check out, and going with 12 other people sound like you could write a great blog post about the fun you had while seeing the sites or just being together!

Our plans are to lay low and relax at home. We went on a short roadtrip to visit friends and shop earlier this week, so are happy to stay put and avoid the traffic. 🙂
