Disney Frozen Movie Review
OK, so I’m going to do something a little different in this post. I’m going to review the latest Disney movie Frozen.
I don’t know about you, but sometimes I find it hard to find shows or movies for the family that don’t make me want to pull my hair out. Now, I’m a die-hard Disney fan. Really. Disney can do no wrong by me, but after a few hours a day, with the same old Mickey Mouse shows, there comes a time where I just can’t take it anymore. I start yelling at the characters, judging the show, and wondering where these kids parents are.
So naturally, when I “saw” the preview for Frozen, my attention was definitely attracted. It didn’t hurt that Marshall would go crazy every time he saw Olaf (talking snowman).
Movie plot:
Frozen is about a kingdom that falls under what looks like an eternal winter. Sisters, Anna and Elsa, are left to fend for their own after the loss of their parents and must rule all of the kingdom, but Elsa has a secret that she has kept hidden from everyone, including her sister Anna. Once Elsa has come of age and has been crowned queen, things take a turn for the worse and it is up to Anna and some unlikely sidekicks to bring their kingdom back together and save everyone from what looks to be a freezing future.
SO the day came where we finally could sit down together and watch. To my surprise, Marshall honesty could care less. Probably because his favourite guy Olaf didn’t appear for a while, so he played as I watched. Shortly after, and I mean shortly probably like 5 minutes later, he was ready for a nap. Needles to say my idea of us watching a movie calmly and nicely together failed miserably.
Marshall went to bed, and I made some popcorn, and yes I continued to watch…
Don’t judge, the movie turned out to be pretty awesome. Honestly I haven’t laughed so much since Shrek.
This movie was totally geared to parents. It was hilarious. So many jokes an innuendoes that children would never get. Man is Disney sure stepping it up, or … is it that I’m old enough to get it now???? MIND BLOWN.
Regardless the movie was so enjoyable I’ll definitely be buying this one.
If your interested, here is a link to the official trailer. I give it 5 out of 5 stars.
Here’s to Disney making many more films like this!
Until next time,
Courtney
