Book Club Anyone?

| October 10, 2013 | 7 Comments

Reading a good book has the power to transport you. Remove your mind from your current chaos and visit a whole new world. Reading is an activity that as a mom I have clung too allowing my mind and body a relax and unwind from the day.

Lets share our reading experience. Online :)

Lets share our reading experience. Online 🙂

I love to read. I love everything about picking up a new book, cracking the spine and diving in.  I am sure there are tons of you book loving mama’s out there as well…so who wants to participate in a ‘mama oriented’ book club?

Here’s how it will work:

1. I will post the monthly book.

2. We  all read it.

3. At the end of the month, I will write a post on what I thought of the book and how it made me feel.

4. We will use the ‘Comments’ Section to discuss. I would love to read what others think about the book and how they make you feel.

The Slight difference in this ‘mama book club’ is that there will be two book choices. One ‘parenting’ style book and another ‘escape’ book. A fictional entertaining read.

Our first book isSimplicity Parenting’. It is written by Kim John Payne.  The discussion will be at a great time as I will be attending a lecture by the author on October 25th. (If anyone is interested in tickets, check out the event)

How fun! I’m part of an actual club where I am locally and it’s lovely.

I’m wondering if this book club came to fruition. I’m afraid that I like to read books of my own choosing and parenting books are of no interest to me now that my seven are all adults. 🙂
