Belly Chats – Exclusive Events for Moms-to-be from momstown Ottawa

| March 7, 2013 | 1 Comment

When I was a new mom, I felt very overwhelmed, emotional and at times, alone. A lot of my friends didn’t have children yet or their children were older. I remember wishing I had a network of new moms like myself to confide in and commiserate with. Luckily new moms in Ottawa now have the opportunity to build relationships with other moms before their baby is even born.

With a focus on the “whole child, the complete family and early education”, momstown Ottawa provides moms of children aged 0-6 with fun programming, support and events that inevitably connect families and create lifelong friendships. And believe it or not, you don’t have to be a mom yet to be a member of momstown! Momstown Ottawa offers expecting mexpecting_block_adoms a free membership until their baby is born – meaning moms-to-be can attend some of momstown’s unique events, including the prenatal event, Belly Chats.

Belly Chats connects expecting moms so that once their baby is born they already have an established support network. In addition to friendship, Belly Chats also provides expectant moms with information regarding various local services and businesses that can help them pre- and post-baby.

Momstown Ottawa’s Belly Chat event takes place once every two weeks at Fab Baby Gear, with the next event with Little Lotus Yoga on March 7th, followed by another event two weeks later with Karen Stoyles, Registered Holistic Nutritionist.

For more information on Belly Chats, or momstown Ottawa’s other events including Mom’s Night Out, Book Club or Crafty Mamas , visit their website at and don’t forget to take advantage of the one-year free subscription to Today’s Parent with every momstown membership.
