Barbie & Her Sisters In A Pony Tale Train & Ride Horse Playset

Barbie & Train and Ride Horse

When I was a little girl, Barbie was my favorite doll to play with.  Every birthday and Christmas I would receive Barbie, friends and accessories.  There’s nothing that makes a little girl smile more than playing with Barbie, dressing her up in all sorts of fancy clothes and whisking her to the latest party or adventure.  I love the fact that my little girl loves Barbie too, just like mommy did.  This year Mattel has come out with the new Barbie and Her Sisters In A Pony Tale Train and Ride Horse Playset and Blu-Ray Combo, which makes K and mommy really happy.

Kaylie and Barbie3

The Barbie and Her Sisters In a Pony Tale Train and Ride Horse Playset is every little girls dream toy.  With Barbie dressed in her lovely pink riding suit and her gorgeous white pony saddled up in matching pink, they make a fetching pair.  This is a remote control toy and Barbie doll is the remote!  Barbie lifts her arms and the pony walks towards her;  holding her arm straight out and the pony stops or drops her hand down by her side and pony bows.  Barbie sure has her pony well trained.  Barbie also can ride her pony.  Sit Barbie on the pony (don’t forget her riding helmet) and press the button on pony’s head and she takes Barbie for a walk.  Press the button again, she walks a few steps and stops.  The third press of the button and pony will bow.  The last press brings pony back to the standing position.  My little one was thrilled to watch the pony trot around with Barbie on her back.  Barbie sure has changed since I was a kid,  I can only imagine what it would be like to receive a Barbie and pony that actually walked!  Well, I did play with Barbie and pony too, I couldn’t let my little one have all the fun.  K and I decided that Barbie is probably the most stylish rider we’ve seen and we are on the look out for those gorgeous riding boots.  Note:  Barbie doll requires 3 button cells, included.  Pony requires 4 AAA alkaline batteries, not included.  Barbie & Her Sisters in A Pony Tale is recommended for children over the age of three.

Barbie BluRay

The excitement continued when my little one and I sat down to watch the new Barbie and Her Sisters in a Pony Tale movie.  We received the Blu-Ray combo pack (Blu-Ray, DVD and Digital).  You can watch the movie anytime, anywhere with the digital copy.

The combo pack includes:

Disc 1 – Blu-ray – Feature film plus all bonus features in hi-definition

  • Outtakes
  • Music Video
  • Barbie Life in the Dreamhouse music video
  • Barbie Life in the Dreamhouse episode

Disc 2 – DVD Feature film plus bonus features

Barbie Life in the Dreamhouse music video

The music videos are a wonderful addition to the movie.  My little one is a music addict and I do not let her watch many of the music videos that are aired on television as they aren’t always appropriate for a five-year old.  She absolutely loved dancing and singing to the Barbie Life in the Dreamhouse music video.

“The Vacation of a Lifetime Turns into a Magical Adventure!”

Plot Synopsis

Barbie and her sisters set off on a Swiss adventure to the majestic Alps, where they’re excited to spend the summer at a fun-filled riding academy. Barbie can’t wait to find a new horse to bring back to Malibu, Stacie is excited to prove she’s an amazing equestrian, all Chelsea wants to do is ride the big horses, and Skipper… well, let’s just say she’s more interested in writing about the great outdoors than experiencing it. The sisters’ vacation gets off to a rocky start, but when Barbie discovers a mysterious wild horse in the woods, their visit becomes truly magical.

All in all, K and I enjoyed a fun-filled Barbie afternoon.  From riding lessons to popcorn and a movie to dancing to the hip music video.

my granddaughter would love to have this. I like that it’s a combo deal with a Blu-Ray too.

I’m so glad I came across your review. My daughter is a huge Barbie fan as well, but there are so many products out there. I end up staring at them, dumbfounded, trying to decide which to purchase. I love the concept of Barbie being the remote for her horse! Such an innovative idea.
