4 Things You Must Do When You Start a New Blog

 

Starting a new blog can be a very exciting time. You probably have so many ideas and you’re feeling motivated about the things you will share and post to your blog. Maybe you already have a lot of ideas for posts, or maybe you’re still working on that part. Whatever the case may be, there are a few things that are really important to do when you’ve just started your blog.

Here are four things you must do when you start a new blog:

  1. Set up security – You don’t want all of your hard work to get ruined by a hacker, right? You need to put security in place to protect your site from hacks, to backup and allow for a restore should something happen, and also to help with caching and SEO.
  2. Know how to promote your content – It’s one thing to write great content but another altogether to get people to read it. Promotion needs to be an important part of your blogging strategy. This should begin on day one.
  3. Start building your list – You should start building your email or subscriber list from day one. Your readers are your market so start building that list right from the start.
  4. Have all the right pages – Make sure you have a contact page, an about page, and other essential pages to help people reach you and follow you when they read your blog posts.

So now that you have these tips for starting a new blog, you are ready to get going. Whether it’s your first blog or one of many, you will get started on the right track for success.

    I do not work because of disability and was thinking of starting a blog, but omg way to much work for this chicky, plus I am not a talker or a writer, so it would be no good for me. But I appreciate all the bloggers out there, you guys do a lot of work that we do not even see and you have to put up with some nasty people as well. So I will continue to be a guest and enjoy reading instead of writing!!
