4 of My Must-Have Travel Items

| October 5, 2015 | 17 Comments

Whether it is a road trip or a flight off to a fun destination, I love to travel. I pack my bags and take off to begin memorable adventures. Though I tend to bring more items than I need to, there are certain things I always carry with me when I am away in order to make sure I have a fabulous experience. Since I love having them with me, I had to share with you my list of must-have items I have to take with me whenever I travel.

As a blogger, a camera is always with me. It is sort of my way of creating a visual journal so I can share my memories and experiences of my adventures with family and with followers. I take photos of packing, outfits I want to wear to see if they look right, scenery along the way, fun family photos, the different sights and venues I visit, and of course selfies! I have so much fun doing this, and it is great to sit and go back over the sights and unique moments of every adventure I go on.

No matter how far I go away from home, I always travel with music! With the advances made in technology, it is now so easy to take my favourite tunes with me. I have apps on my devices that allow me to load the music I want to bring with me so I can pass the time between leaving home and my destination. Singing along while winding along the highway is always a fun activity. I also use my headphones to keep me company for those times when I am waiting for my train or a connecting flight at an airport. Music has always been a part of my life, and a trip would not be the same without it.

I always like feeling my best when I am traveling, so I bring along some toiletries to make freshening up easier. I like carrying wipes, deodorant and a light perfume to freshen myself up on long trips. I also have a travel size toothbrush, toothpaste and floss just in case a snack gets caught in my teeth. When I travel with one of my best friends, who suffers from Adult Incontinence (AI), I like to carry adult underwear with me act as a back-up to make sure she does not run out of them while we are away. Having AI is more common than most people realize. My best friend is very open and is not ashamed to let others know about her condition. Did you know that seven in ten women under the age of 55 and four in ten women over the age 55 living with AI feel like they’re living with a secret?

My friend lets those around her know about her AI because she does not want it to be the elephant in the room. She uses Always Discreet Moderate Underwear for incontinence because they protect her on our long trips just in case she is not able to make it to a rest stop in time. We are huge fans of Always products, so it was a natural fit for her to use Always Discreet Moderate Underwear when she discovered she had AI. These feminine incontinence underwear have full length dual LeakGuards™ that help to stop leaks due to an overactive bladder at the legs. It also has an advanced triple layer core that helps pull, trap and lock away wetness and odor. They are thin and comfortable for my friend to wear, and by looking at her, you would never know she was wearing them! I love that she feel more confident when she is wearing them on our adventures! I am a shoe girl, and comfy shoes are a must in my luggage. Whether they be sandals or a fun pair of sneakers, my feet must look and feel their best. For trips in the car or travel in the sun, I love wearing a flexible pair of sandals. Sandals allow my feet to breathe and are easy to slip on and off. When traveling on a plane or if a bit of exploring is a part of my itinerary, my sneakers are my choice of footwear. They protect my feet from whatever weather I am, and I can run around for hours on end without worrying that my feet will become sore.

No matter where my travels take me, these are the items I always pack for my journeys! I am entertained, comfortable and ready for just about anything. I am also able to share what happened on my adventures with family friends and followers. I cannot wait to take these essentials on my next trip

Do you love to travel? What is your must-have item you take with you when you travel?
