Ah, it looks like spring is here!  It feels like we were in winter mode a long time this year.  I can’t wait to get my little one back into shoes and pack away those winter snow boots.  As usual, after a long winter, the shoes she had been wearing last fall, no longer fit. Yay! for new shoes! Of course, all kids love to get their new shoes in the spring but it’s was a  double yay! when my little one saw these gorgeous pink lace up tennis shoes from Wee Squeak!

Wee Squeak

If you have never heard of Wee Squeak before, you will quickly learn that the “squeak” part isn’t just a name, these shoes and boots actually do squeak when the child walks heel to toe.  Of course, the squeaking is probably one of my little ones favorite things about the Wee Squeaks, well that and the fact that they are pink!  She loves pink, so these shoes are a win/win in her eyes.

What I enjoy about the Wee Squeaks is that they are super easy to put on my little ones feet. I find them a little wider than a usual shoe at the opening,  giving that smidgen of extra room to slip their feet into. My little one’s feet are still chubby-ish so the extra  space at the toe box is really appreciated. She says they are very comfy and there’s no toe pinching.

The outer sole area is soft and flexible which provides the extra support for little ones with growing feet. The bottom soles don’t mark floors and they keep the child from slipping on those tiles or hardwood floors. I don’t usually allow my daughter to run around with her shoes on because they would mark the hardwood, but I haven’t found one skid mark from the Wee Squeaks.

Here’s the part I’m sure you are wondering about.  What about all that squeaking!! Yes, the Wee Squeaks are my daughters very favorite shoes ever, and she really loves to make those squeakers sing, but parents don’t worry, you can remove the squeakers!

To remove the squeaker, use your fingers or a pair of tweezers to simply pull out the white button located near the heel of the shoe.

Oh did I mention what a great selection of shoes and boots Wee Squeak offer?  Boys and girls sizes 3 – 12 (ages 9 months to 5 years). Take a look at what’s hot for Spring 2014 here!
