Softlips Organic Lip Balm Review

Softlips Prize Giveaway

I am a newby when it comes to writing product reviews but when I think of conversations with my girlfriends about stuff I love, they almost need to tazer me quiet. Almost. Insert dorky animated grin. But what if I don’t like the product?

Luckily that is not the case with the Softlips organic lip balm. I can be very particular. I am drawn to products that are environmentally friendly, natural, chemical free, non toxic and affordable. There is an abundance of evolving research into the ingredients used for beauty products. Some of the findings are scary and overwhelming to sort through. When Terra 20 crafted itself a niche in Ottawa, I was asked to MC the grand opening. I was giddy with anticipation and jealous I was not an investor. The demand for natural products is rapidly growing. Terra 20 has excellent resources that help navigate through the various product controversies and break down the ingredients list in an understandable fashion that this single Mom can wrap her head around in time-saving fashion. With information increasingly competing for brain space, we’re lucky if we have time to look up recipes while signing off on kids’ homework and map out the following days to do list.

One request Softlips? A high-tech lip balm that turns my lips into grinning ‘Bewitched’ style magic zappers! You don’t know unless you ask.

The Softlips organic pomegranate lip balm is certified, contains natural ingredients that I can actually identify while reading and seems to have staying power. Even for someone who likes to sip on a cup of tea while cruising the airwaves of Majic 100, 9am – noon most weekdays. Vacation & fill in as required. Shameless plug.

The Softlips organic pomegranate lip balm has subtle hints of scent and flavour. Not overpowering. I feel good about letting my two daughters use it. Lord knows I annually toss away a gazillion cheap no name style dollar store varieties usually found in loot bags and containing ingredients I can not even pronounce.

Yes, my daughters constantly ask for a normal Mother.

Softlips, until someone proves otherwise, two thumbs up for your plunge into the organic lip balm celebrations! More like this please.
