I want It all Video contest- Food Basics

Having it all. What does this mean? As a teenager, having it all was being a journalist, coming home to my super-swanky apartment, having my dinners served to me by my personal chef and vacationing in a cushy hotel room whenever I pleased.

This concept has definitely changed and is always evolving as an adult with three kids. At this moment, having it all means to be able to have fun with our family, to travel when we could, and to make sure that all of us have what we need. It also means signing them up for guitar lessons and joining team sports. We would also like to have a few more Date Nights for some adult time together.

Food Basics also wants to know what having it all means to Ontarians, and wants to help to get you on your way to achieving this goal! Beginning June 3rd, they will be launching the I Want It All Event. They are asking what this phrase means to you in your life. The grand prize is $10 000 worth of groceries! They strive to keep the prices and selection at Food Basics enables people to have it. They would also like to know what you would do with an extra amount of money.

How do you enter for your chance to win? Here are the three easy steps to take to throw your hat (or video in this case) into the running for this contest:

  • Film a 15-30 second video answering the question “if you won Free Groceries for an entire year, what would you do with the savings?”
  • Upload the video to www.foodbasics.ca/videocontest for your chance to win a $1000 in Food Basics gift cards!
  • Watch videos from others who have participated in this contest share this contest with your family and friends!

Take a look at this video from Food Basics for some inspiration.

***Note: To be entered in the contest, videos must be uploaded to the web, sharing on social media won’t count as a contest entry.***

Even something smaller, like having an extra $150 in my pocket would be great to have! Food Basics asked me what I would do with the savings. I put together this video showing what I would do with this extra fun money!

Out of all of the things I would use this small treasure on, I would put it towards my having it all goal. My other half and I could want to hop in the car with my kids and have a fun day trip on the spur of the moment. We could have a special dinner and movie night out. We could even buy what we would need to have an amazing weekend camping out in our backyard. The possibilities are endless!

As of June 2nd, when customers enter the contest online with the in-store pin code the grand prizes are free groceries for a year (awarded at $10,000 in Food Basics gift cards).

So what are you waiting for?! Grab your camera and start filming what having it all means to you, and join Food Basics for the I Want It All Store Event for your chance to be a bit closer to getting closer to having it all!

I really feel satisfied, like I really do have it all (for me). I have my family, health, shelter and food. And many, many other things I could survive without but am so thankful to have. Like friends, the sunshine…
