I was thrilled when Ottawa Mommy Club offered me the opportunity to review the Reebok Kids ATV19 shoes. Both my boys were equally excited when their new shoes arrived in the mail.
Reebok describes this shoe as an all-terrain kids’ running shoe featuring 19 large ATV lugs to help provide traction on all sorts of surfaces. There is a low-cut design for added mobility with a padded heel collar for comfort and stability. The ATV19 outsole technology features 19 large ATV lugs to help provide traction and agility on various surfaces. It has “Eye-catching style for schoolyard bragging rights”.
While my six-year old had remarked “Mom, these look so cool!”, my three-year old was fascinated by all the “circles” on the back of the shoes. They both were eager to trade in their other runners for these new “cool” shoes and wear them proudly to school the next morning and every morning after since then.
I ordered one size larger than they usually wear for both the boys. I wanted them to grow into the shoes and a get a lot of use out of them. The sizes seem to run slightly larger for these Reebok shoes. I could have gotten away with ordering just a half-size bigger and still having plenty of growing space. The boys don’t seem to mind the size though. They have been playing in the backyard, slipping and sliding in the parks and running around the schoolyard with great ease. I asked them if the shoes were comfortable and they both nodded a big yes. The quality of the shoes appears to be great and durable and the support seems solid.
The shoes are available in Preschool sizes 3.5-7 ($65 ) and grade school sizes 10.5-3 ($75).
Judging by the way my kids have been enjoying the Reebok ATV19 shoes over the last few weeks I would definitely recommend them.
