Kids! Style Your Perfect Easter Bonnet at the Hat Creation Event!

One item of clothing that is synonymous with Easter is a bonnet. They are fun, festive and perfect to have on hand when going on a hunt for the goodies the Easter Bunny hid in crafty places. Would you like for your child to design one of their own? There are so many different designs your child can use to create one that will make them stand out for the holiday.

There are so many different materials that can be used to put together a perfect Easter bonnet. Simple items can be used to achieve a specific design. Pipe cleaners, felt, googly eyes and a clump of pom-poms can be put together on a plain pastel coloured bonnet to create a cute bunny.  Ribbon, material and craft gemstones or beads can create a more elegant head topper for the season. The sky is the limit for building a unique Easter bonnet.

Don’t have enough time to get these items together for your kids before the Easter Bunny makes his arrival to your home? Carlingwood Shopping Centre can give you a hand! They want to help kids get ready for Easter in style by holding a Hat Creation “craft activity” event!

This fun-filled (and free) event will take place on April 8 and 9, 2017 from 11 am – 4 pm. Families will be able to drop in and use the supplies available to create fun and colourful bonnets they will love to wear to welcome the holiday.

To help inspire some fabulous creations, a treat will be supplied by Laura Secord to each participant, and your child will be able to have their face painted on both days of this event. Once your child’s fashionable headpieces are complete, you can take them over to the photo booth set up for the event. You will be able to capture your child’s creative work and this precious memory and share these moments on your social accounts free of charge! You can use hashtag #CarlingwoodEasterParade to let your friends know where your child created their piece of art.
