4 Tips to Help Become More Confident in 2016! #Underwareness

| January 4, 2016 | 10 Comments

Hooray! The new year is here! It is a time of year when people look towards the possibilities of what can be achieved in their lives. Some look to improve themselves physically or financially, while others look inward to try to be a better version of themselves. Confidence is a trait we all have, but some people are not sure how to express it. Do you need some tips on how to bring about more confidence within yourself this year? Here are four tips to help you become more confident in your life!

Try something new

It is such a boost in confidence when you try something you have not done before. It does not have to be something grand. It could be as simple as starting a workout regime this year, taking up a new hobby or eating better! Just by attempting something new will give you a confidence boost. By working out, you can set goals to try and increase your level of activity and become healthier. A new hobby, like taking a cooking class, can create instant gratification by having the result of your work in front of you, or being able to share your interests with others. Eating better will help to improve your health and energy levels, making you feel better about yourself and leading you to want to take on new challenges.

Re-define yourself

Changing an aspect of yourself is not meant to be a complete overhaul of who you are. It can be about improving on a skill you may not be good at, or changing your go-to hair do or makeup styles. Achieving a goal you may have once found daunting will give you a sense of accomplishment, and it adds to your knowledge base. A new look can help to re-define yourself by showing off a bit of your personality in a way you may not have thought of before. It could also help to show off some features you or others may not have previously noticed that are fabulous, making you look and feel better about yourself!

Conquering a fear

This step in becoming more confident could be encountering a creature that scares you, or overcoming a phobia that has plagued you since you were young. For others, it could also mean taking back control over a situation that has changed their life. 3.3 million Canadians (that’s 10 % of us, and many of them being women) are silently experiencing bladder leakage or adult incontinence. The stigma around this condition causes sufferers to significantly change their lifestyles, resulting in many to lose confidence in themselves. They are afraid of trying something new, traveling, sleeping or being in an intimate relationship because they are afraid of experiencing a bit of bladder leakage.

If you suffer from adult incontinent, there is a subtle solution to re-defining yourself in this situation: Open the ways of communication about bladder leakage. By opening up about this condition, others will realize they are not alone in suffering with bladder leakage, come out of the shadows and gain back the confidence and lifestyle once thought to be lost. Women can also use a product that gives comfort, protection and confidence. Depend provides all of these thing to its users through its innovation and design in its Silhouette Active Fit brief. Depend offers a moderate-absorbency brief that features a thin design that looks, fits and feels like real underwear. It is also low rise, so it sits below your waist. Visit their website, or connect with them on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or YouTube for more details about this fabulous product to help guard against bladder leakage!

Be spontaneous

Throwing your mundane schedule to the wind once in a while can help to free your confidence. Life can be uncertain, so learning to go with the flow is a great way to deal with the unknown and to have some fun. Plan an impromptu date night with your other half. Have a fun day with your kids once in a while. Buy a gift to you from you once in a while. Grab your gal pals, hop in the car and go on a road trip with your pals! Having a bit of fun that is not on the schedule can also improve your mood and sense of self. Besides, as the saying goes, “Life is not about the destination, it is about the journey!” Why not enjoy the ride!

So if you need a bit of a confidence boost for your life, try one or all of these tips and enjoy life on your terms!
