Good Friday Family Fun Day at Maple Ridge Centre, March 25, 2016
The holiday gets hopping at the Maple Ridge Centre! From a made-from-scratch buttermilk pancake breakfast to horse-drawn wagon ride to meet the Easter Bunny to an Easter Egg hunt, there will be no shortage of fun for the family to have. There will also be giant inflatables in the gym, face painting and more!
Visitors will get to enjoy a maple taffy on the snow treat, hear the tale of Peter Rabbit told by a professional storyteller, get your photo taken with Curious Cottontail and their 2-D statue of Peter Rabbit, make an Easter egg craft and receive an Easter postcard souvenir from their print shop.
Easter at the Farm – Canadian Food and Agriculture Museum, March 25-28
Animals and food and treats! Oh my! The Canadian Agriculture and Food Museum will have all of these things for visitor to learn about and enjoy this Easter weekend! The family can welcome all of the new animals as well as the rabbits up close. Visitors can also follow the making of chocolate from cocoa bean to yummy treat then make a chocolatey recipe and taste a sample! There will also be an Easter egg hunt for children 6 years old and younger, while older children can take part in searching for “signs of spring” in the museum’s challenge throughout the barns.
